If you’ve spent even one minute scrolling through my Instagram feed, you’ll notice my obsession with bathtubs immediately. Not only do bathtubs make for killer photos, but they also make for a perfect night in. Give me a bathtub with a glass of red wine, a book (or Netflix!) and some candles, and I’m the happiest girl in the world.

I get a lot of love on my bathtub photos, so I wanted to round up my top ten favorite bathtubs around the world so that you can plan your next vacation around the pursuit of #tubgoals:

Cappadocia, Turkey

The Museum Hotel is not only one of the most luxurious places to stay at in Cappadocia, it is also home to some of the most gorgeous in-room tubs. Take this one for example, located in the Tekeli Superior Suite:

Reykjavik, Iceland

The Retreat in Reykjavik, Iceland is the newest hotel to open at The Blue Lagoon. With rooms starting at $1,200 per night, The Retreat is by far the most expensive accommodation on this list, but if you’re able to splurge on it, the Lagoon View Junior Suites are just incredible. You’ll have direct access to the blue lagoon and an oversized tub looking out onto the gorgeous landscape and waters.

The Retreat also does a great job at providing amenities for the tub, including The Blue Lagoon’s signature Silica Mud Mask and luxurious bath salts.

Bali, Indonesia

Five Elements in Ubud, Bali is a beautiful hotel and spa perfect for a one-day retreat or a multiple night staycation. They also happen to have one of the most relaxing tub experiences of all time, which they call the Sakti Ritual. A Five Elements staff member prepares your bath by filling the tub with hot water and lemongrass, lemon & lime, hibiscus flowers and various colored petals. All of them symbolize things like passion, love and peace. The tub overlooks the river, so you can relax to the tune of flowing water.

Along with a facial and raw vegan lunch, their Blooming Beauty spa day package includes a 60-minute massage followed by the 30 minute Sakti tub ritual. You can also separately purchase the tub experience for 530k Indonesian Rupiah, which is about 36 US dollars.

Bali, Indonesia

Another incredible spot in Bali to experience #tubgoals is Bambu Indah, an eco resort built up on the river in Ubud. With the smaller rooms starting at just $95, Bambu Indah is a great place for a relatively inexpensive stay in the natural jungles of Bali. But the best tubs on property are found in the larger Copper and Moon Houses, each starting around $450 per night in peak season.

In the Copper House, the vanity, bathtub and shower are perched near the edge of the room – completely open-air and overlooking the jungle & river below.

In the Moon House, the tub is hidden around the back of the main room, surrounded by foliage and also overlooking the river below.

Bodrum, Turkey

The Mandarin Oriental Bodrum is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and luxurious beach resorts I’ve ever experienced. And I found total tub heaven in my Junior Suite, a huge room with a private pool and open-floor plan that feels like the perfect amount of extravagant. The suite has a standalone tub overlooking the pool and was the perfect place to relax & watch the sunset.

The best part about this resort is that you don’t need to splurge for a higher caliber room – there’s a huge oversized tub in every room.

New York, New York

The Hudson Studio at The Standard Highline is one of the most unique rooms in NYC I’ve stayed in as three of four walls are floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The bathroom is completely open to the city (with curtains you can pull for privacy, of course) with a stand-alone oversized tub. Needless to say, a bath here is beyond relaxing. You can enjoy views of New York City by day and watch the sky light up at sunset.

Lake Lucerne, Switzerland

Situated 1,500 feet up a high hilltop on Lake Lucerne, Burgenstock Hotel is an absolutely breathtaking property. Not only does this hotel boast of the most stunning outdoor swimming pools I’ve seen in my life (see it here), but each room also comes equipped with its own bathtub. As if views of Lake Lucerne aren’t enough, you can soak in the tub while enjoying the warmth from the in-room fireplace that separates the tub from the living room.

Riviera Maya, Mexico

If you’re based in the U.S. or Canada and only have the time to travel within North America, I highly recommend visiting the Riviera Maya in Mexico, the region that is comprised of Tulum, Cancun and Playa del Carmen. UNICO 20.87 is a great accommodation option if you’re looking to stay at an all-inclusive resort. The best part about this hotel (aside from the amazing food and serene beach) is that every room has a huge bathtub on the balcony, something totally unique to UNICO.

The tubs also come with trays perfect for resting a book on … or some of UNICO’s amazing room service! 😉

Peru

This was without a doubt the most surreal bathtub experience I’ve ever had. Located at 12,500 feet in the mountains of Peru is Huacahuasi Lodge, a hotel that is part of Mountain Lodges of Peru.

Most of the rooms come with a small private outdoor porch area and a giant tub. The water heats up very nicely and, if the day is clear, you can look out at the mountains in front of you and the small village below you. If the fog moves in (like it did for me in the photo below), you’re in for a magical experience. While the rest of your body keeps warm in the bathtub, the mist from the fog drifts over your face cooling you off just the slightest.

Singapore

The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore is a gorgeous place to stay when wanting to explore the central part of Singapore’s city. It’s home to a beautiful pool, Michelin starred restaurant and a luxurious spa, all within a 5 minute walk of Singapore’s most popular attractions.

All of their rooms have a huge tub that looks out onto a spectacular view of Singapore, so no matter which accommodation you book, you’ll be set to relax! However, if you’d like a bathtub view of the famous marina and Marina Bay Sands, you may want to stay in their Deluxe Marina Room or the Grand Marina Room! The tubs also come with trays that are perfect for holding a glass of wine and a book.

As a bonus, here are some of the tubs on my #bathtubbucketlist that I’m hoping to visit some time in the future!

Iceland

The best part about the Hrunalaug hot spring in Iceland is that it’s totally free! While I was in Iceland, I unfortunately left the drive to this hot spring until the last day and ended up not having time to visit it. All the more reason to go back!

P.S. I thiiiink this should go without saying, but this is a natural pool and cannot be considered a true bathtub! Though you can soak and relax in Hrunalaug for hours, don’t bring any form of soap or shampoo 😉

Maldives

The Fairmont Maldives’ Grand Water Sunset Villa is calling my name. A girl can dream, right?

Santorini, Greece

The Mystique Hotel in Santorini, Greece would be the perfect spot for a romantic getaway, especially if you’re staying in the Wet Allure Suite, a suite that has a large outdoor jacuzzi. It’d be the perfect spot to relax with champagne while watching the sun go down… Now I just have to find the person to do this with! ?
