4 Steps to Finding & Validating Your Course Topic

(So You Know It’ll Sell)

A proven 4-step method to finding a profitable course topic that your audience will pay good money for.

Every year, thousands of digital nomads head over to Canggu, Bali with good reason. On top of Bali’s spectacular nature, kind people, and one-of-a-kind accommodations, there are an abundance of incredible cafes in Canggu, Bali that are perfect for both indulging in delicious food and getting sh*t done. Since moving here a couple months ago, I’ve had the chance to visit a whole bunch of these cafes and have narrowed down the top five.

Here’s where to work in Canggu:

NOTE: All of the cafes mentioned below provide digital nomads with the essentials: great Wifi and loads of power outlets. As an added bonus, if you’re hoping to beat the Bali heat, they all also have A/C!

Nude Cafe

Nude Canggu is a fully enclosed cafe open everyday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The cafe prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, and with its large menu, you’re bound to find a delicious dish to indulge any craving. Nude’s muesli is, by far, the best I’ve ever had, and if you’re looking for a breakfast classic with a twist, I recommend trying the smoked salmon charcoal bagel. Nude is popular amongst digital nomads, so you’ll always find others working inside, which helps create the perfect atmosphere for getting things done.

Kembali Bumbak

Kembali Bumbak is a stylish cafe open from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm every day of the week. The cafe/restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and on Fridays, all dishes are 50% off after 6:00 PM. Kembali Bumbak’s menu contains anything and everything from vibrant vegan smoothie bowls, tuna tartare, and even Louisiana Fried Chicken, so if you’re an avid foodie, you’ll definitely end up paying the restaurant more than one visit.

Coffee Cartel

Canggu’s Coffee Cartel is a boutique cafe with a bright, happy interior. Like Nude and Kembali Bumbak, Coffee Cartel is also open everyday but only from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. If you’re looking for some amazing vegan dishes, like scrambled chickpea tofu or hotcakes with banana nice-cream, Coffee Cartel has them. Colorful speciality lattes made with pink beetroot, turmeric, matcha, and even charcoal can be found on the menu too!

Koloni Cafe

Koloni Cafe is never super crowded, and its outdoor garden is nothing short of stunning. Bring your laptop and get there early for breakfast. My favorite breakfast dish at Koloni is the Hungry Brekkie Bowl, which includes 2 poached eggs, kale, tomatoes, mushrooms, and avocado.

Koloni Cafe is open daily from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

Dojo Bali

Dojo Bali is more than a traditional cafe – it’s a coworking space and a community for digital nomads. In order to work at Dojo Bali, you need to a purchase a membership. Fortunately, membership prices are flexible as they are based on the number of hours you plan on using the space. There’s a cafe on site which is open everyday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and serves all-day breakfast (along with local coffee, vegan smoothies, and kombucha teas, of course). Depending on your membership, you can even get 24/7 access to the coworking space regardless of the cafe’s hours of operation. Since Dojo Bali is designed for work, you’ll have access to incredibly fast Wifi, loads of power outlets, and a quiet, focused environment. Need I say more?

Betelnut

Betelnut serves up healthy versions of burgers and Indonesian dishes. But fear not, there are plant based healthy foods like green smoothies and salad bowls. Food aside, this cafe is located on Batu Botong, features an upper level that’ll make you feel like you’re working in a treehouse.

Cafe Organic

Another haven for plant based foodies. Cafe Organic is a place for good food and good vibes. Order a smashed avo, grab a seat, and get to work!

Peloton Supershop

This cycling-themed cafe is a great spot for a power work hour… if you can find a seat, that is. But if you do, order a coffee topped with one of their fresh, housemade nutmilks.

I haven’t been to Bali yet, but my guess is that I would love Kembali Bumbak, mainly because of the food! The outdoor garden at Koloni Cafe sounds ideal too. I’ll have to keep them in mind for when I visit 🙂
